El-Rufai tweets about his arrest

July 2, 2011deolaUncategorizedNo comments

…“We have arrived safely at SSS HQ. They are polite and courteous”.
…“Inside the building waiting for the Director to arrive. I still have my phones but under watch by three polite SSS officers”.
…“Taken up three floors to see the DG. He was my director of security in FCT, 2003…decent man then, will soon know if fresh air has got him”.
… One last tweet: “Phone battery is going down…no tweets until I charge”

Mallam Nasir El Rufai was arrested by the SSS at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on his way from London where he had , alongside Pastor Tunde Bakare and Buhari, delivered their position on the last presidential elections in Nigeria. He was ambushed by armed SSS agents and taken to their office in Abuja. It will be interesting to see where this Jonathan’s move will lead to. You can follow his tweets here

No wonder international community is saying Newsprint will find it hard to catch up with breaking news.

I will keep you posted as events unfold
