Newton’s Laws in Change

January 18, 2008deolalifeNo comments

Newton’s first law of motion states that, every body (life, nation, state) continues in its state of rest or of uniform motion (progress or regression), unless propelled by an external force (something drastic)-brackets mine. What does this jargon mean? If you want to predict the future of a life, an organization or a nation, it is basically a progression of the past, unless something drastic happens to it. We cannot do the same things over and over again, using the same method and means and expect a different result, someone calls it the definition of insanity. Craving for something higher and better is the best antidote to or remedy for the lower life if we want to get out of.. There has to be a conscious and drastic change in thinking, attitude and behaviour to be able to change the final destination of our dreams. The energy of the will to change is itself is an invigorating force that will determine the fortunes of every individual. This pushing force is the ability of an individual to identify opportunities, taking action and initiatives in the direction of the opportunities, and the ability to be able to sustain the goals.

Many complain of the nations ailing resources as the excuse for their failures, but the truth is that lots of people are succeeding within that same environment. In 1872, Dr. William Penn was quoted as saying that, “there are many persons who are always looking to government to reform societies, to improve educational institutions and other agencies, they blame PHCN, robbers, traffic and everything blamable except their own hands and brains, to better their conditions and to make their life easy

We get out of life what we put into it. The New Year (and it’s moving fast!) gives us all the opportunity to evaluate and reevaluate our time, our life along our various spheres of influence.

cheers
