I decided to delve into a debate that long predates Darwin, it has raged back and forth, with science being strengthened by the exciting discoveries and the manipulation and replication of natural procedures and phenomena. It is the theory that nothing or an accident created the earth, in which we live in, and life in general. People have put forth their theories, jokes and logical arguments-for and against. But does not nature itself teach? That this carefully ordered planet was not a product of chance. The universe was constructed and woven intricately, and only a Supreme intelligence could condition the universe, and has continued to sustain the existence of man. An atheist professor once visited his friend who was serving as the chief librarian of the university. On arriving at his office, he saw a well crafted sculpture on the man’s table. “Fine piece”, he said. “Where did you buy it?”
“I found it, in the ground”, the librarian replied. But the atheist could not believe it, “it would be foolish to say this well-crafted piece was found in the soil, without an artist laying claim to the design?” Then the librarian declared, “That is what you do every time, you say there’s no God”.
Looking at a few examples, I will present scientific studies that highlight the careful masterpiece designed by God.
The size of the universe is not known, it is so infinite that we are incapable of comprehending its dimensions, but the force that guides and moves the earth, the sun, moon and stars in our galaxy, are known. They rotate in an orderly manner such that electrons move about in orbits, in like manner, the
The sun is approximately 93 million miles from the sun, if it went as small as 10 million miles nearer, it will burn up , and if it were closer, we’d freeze, we are in the right proportion as if it was carefully planned. Mercury turns only one side to the sun, so that one side is a heating furnace and the other is a freezing waste, but then the earth not only revolves, it also rotates on its axis at 1000 miles/hr, yielding alternating seasons of day and night (hot and cold); it travels at the right speed, which is not too slow that things freeze/heat up, or too fast that the cold/heat is not given enough room to alternate. Thereby, making earth the most habitable of all the planets. All these come as an accident or an evidence of intention. A famous quote by John Glenn, America’s first astronaut to orbit the moon, said,” I will compare the force of our creator to the force that runs a compass. Although we can’t see, feel, hear, taste, or smell the electromagnetic force that guides the compass. We all know it’s there, and we stake our lives on the guidance of that force when we navigate out in the sea, air or in space. ”
The gases in the air contains a mixture of nitrogen (78%), Oxygen (21%), CO2 (0.04%) and the other gases. Oxygen is the source of breath for man and animals, and is unobtainable, apart from the atmosphere, supposing oxygen was 40%? Everything combustible on earth will become inflammable; the first stroke of lightening will ignite a forest. A strike of a matchstick will burn up a house. Plants need nitrogen to survive, but if they had access directly to it; the rate of growth is such that man will be overwhelmed by an avalanche of plants. Plants cannot use one joule of energy from Nitrogen save for nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the root nodules of leguminous plants, which converts the nitrogen in the air into a form accessible by plants. Therefore, this serves as a control to ensure steady growth of plants. Isn’t that lovely?
The instincts and lifestyle of animals show evidence of design. Honeybees are a well ordered community such that chambers and communities are made based on an extensive structure of government and division of labour that cannot happen except by an ultimate design. This goes for bees and ants too. How come animals that are weak have developed speed to escape danger? Have you ever wondered why a goat can never give birth to a dog? How come cells under the microscope are consistent? The red coloration and shape in liver, spleen and other organs remain consistent and recognizable across generation. Genes determine species; they lock up the door of constitution such that crossing of species would yield a monster unfit for life. You will be joking to plant a corn and expect a mango tree. Behind every design, is a designer; every music, a composer; and for every order, a commander.
My ultimate example is the law of connection
Perhaps the most formidable of all my thoughts was the connection between the producer and the produced. The scriptures declare that God did not create living beings except man… (whao). At different stages of creation, He told the land to yield plants, water to produce fishes and sea animals, and air to produce birds; but he formed man..
“”Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth put forth [tender] vegetation: plants yielding seed and fruit trees yielding fruit whose seed is in itself, each according
“”Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly and swarm with living creatures, and let birds fly over the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.
“”Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creeping things, and [wild] beasts of the earth according to their kinds. And it was so
“”Gen 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.
And it has become evident, that each of those creatures cannot live to its full potential outside its source. Plants must always be connected to land; fishes outside water cannot survive for long, or is limited by the boundaries of an aquarium…a bird in its cage can only live within the limits of the limitations that have been created for it. How come man wants to live outside its source? Every time someone declares that there is no God, he still speaks in reference to God, just as people who declare that people should “think outside the box”, they are still telling people to think in reference to the box.
On a lighter note, there was that great challenge between God and a scientist (funny, eh? It must be a joke). The scientist said, “God you see we don’t need you anymore, we have cloned sheep, pig, kidney…”. and God replied,”So, create man, let’s see”. Just as the scientist bend down to pick sand from the ground, God said,
“No, no, you go and create your own raw materials!”

intelligent write up. its only a dishonest scientist that will say God does not exist cos God is right there in science.
