Event Report: WordPress meetup during Social Media Week

February 20, 2014deolaBlogging, social media, Worpress1 comment

SMWLagos has come and gone and Lasgidi did not disappoint.
With a little above 140 events, we nailed it. The reverberating effects will not wear out soon. Among all the 8 event cities across the world, Lagos will definitely cause a stir. For me, it was another period of exciting work – was a guest blogger for the SMWLagos, an emergency tour guide for a friend and at the same time hosted two events.

WordCamp, meetup

The WordPress Nigeria event was a masterclass and it proved to be so. While the segment on security was a balance of ‘Greek’ and English because of the high tech stuff mentioned, the one on Search engine optimization was a relief. While the one on security requires you know how a hacker thinks, the one on SEO requires you to think like your readers.
