I love entertainment and I have passion for what I do.
3. So how did you get into blogging as a business? and why ‘Olorisupergal’?
I got into the business on Feb 8th 2010 and I remember my first post. I didn’t have anyone to teach me how to go about it when I started and It wasn’t just easy, but I continued. Later everything changed, because I was persistent to know more about it, I met friends online like @r4biz @ogbongeblog who were puting me through on how to blog, making money etc. The funny thing there is that I’ve never met them before and we still communicate till now.
Olori Supergal… Olori because I love royalty , supergal because I have super magic. lol! sorry, Supergal was given to me by my former colleague in 2009.
4. How long do you spend blogging in a day?
(Laughs!!!) Truly I have lost count of how many hours because these days I am always online. I really don’t coun’t how many hours I spend because I’m always online. There are days I have a lot of posts to publish and I spend hours online putting pictures and the write ups together even on social media. I will say like 12 hours max. maybe on a normal day like 8hours but I’m always online.
5. Ok, describe a typical day in your life?
Wow!! My typical day?. I hardly sleep number one lol!!! I wake up as early as 4am most times 5am after my morning prayer the next thing I look for is my phone lol!!! and then my day begins . Phone calls, reply mails , checking on my clients via sms or email and most times if I don’t have much to do. Look out for new stories or do follow up on old stories, I go out. I plan my day ahead so I will know what to do and I plan my time well too. So I do all that and sleep till 11pm or 1am it depends. All days are not the same. I love to have fun so I create time for myself too Lol!!
6. So how do you make money online?
Once I had been able to get traffic, I was able to make money from people who want to place adverts and write posts on the blog.
I have also worked with clients/people who want their stories featured on social media platforms (Facebook/Twitter) to build awareness and to promote their events and brands. The arrangement depends on who I’m working with and the plan they have at the moment; could be weekly, monthly and some brands even do three months. Some can even be so short term like two weeks to a month.
7. If you were start to blog again, what will you do differently
Hmm… ok, maybe write something about my life.
8. Do you think full-time blogging is established in Nigeria yet?
No it is not. Some people think bloggers are jokers, some people don’t even take me serious like I get that alot. It is not established yet and some don’t see it as work. I believe blogging has been way back before now.
9. Top favorite websites or bloggers
I will gladly choose Ogbonge blog (Techie, E book ) and Funmi Ogunja.com (Fashion)
10. The best advice you’ve ever got?
I get a lot of them and I hold on to them dearly; mostly ‘Believe in yourself’ ‘Believe in your strengths’
11. What advice you have for other newbie bloggers
Simply be yourself
12. Thank you, it’s been nice talking to you, meanwhile I love the new ‘OloriSupergal logo’
