In the recent times, Google’s previous updates,Panda and Penguin were updates which made adjustments to parts of its search algorithm, but Hummingbird is being said to be a new algorithm entirely and it the most significant change to search in the last 3 years. It’s not just a major update or refresh, it’s an entirely new ranking algorithm.

In short, Google is getting smarter and want to deliver results to people who use Google everyday.
